Junkers opinion of Kusari - reavengitair - 11-28-2009
So I've seen the way people have reacted to this, I would have thought that the Junkers would seem interested in Kusari. I too would like to see my interaction between the Junkers and the Hogosha/Kusari.
On that note, the Raba can defeat most gunboats with a good armor upgrade. The Raba, in the hands of a good pilot, is almost literally indestructible. I've seen Bretonian Gunboats go down from rabas, I think a few shires have too.

Likewise. If the peeps from the other side of the barbed wire fence want to do an event, I am all for it. Heck, even GC/Dragon events that could require some sort of transportation of goods.

Well then, you would have to tell that guy that he is fricking superman. Here are some calculations I did:
Raba
8 Transport Turrets
152000 armor
Salvager
6 GB turrets
160000 armor
Bretonian Gunboat
7 GB turrets/1 front gun
140000 armor
Bretonian Forward Gun
40000-20000 damage, 0.55 refire
Cerberus GB Turret
2300-1150 damage, 2.0 refire
Transport Type 2 Turret
3050-1525 damage, 1.0 refire
Max DPS Raba:
8x1x3050=24400
Max DPS Salvager
6x2x2300=27600
Max DPS Bret GB
7x2x2300=32200
40000x0.55=22000
32200+22000=54200
---------------------------------------------------
The Bret GB has nearly double the max possible DPS and a mere 20k less armor. Hell, even the Salvager has more armor and firepower. Unless the Raba is as maneuverable as a SHF or the Bret GB pilot suffers from ADD, I just can't see that happening.

I do believe that the Raba had a higher armor upgrade though. The raba is an amazing ship.

One thing that was pointed out to me was that the Transport Cerbs have a larger range ( by like 100m), so it IS possible to kite your way out of their weapon range and pummel them with yours.
I don't think that even a higher armor upgrade would save the Raba though. I mean, it's double the DPS after all. Unless the difference was from a Uni 8 to a Cap 8 ( or even 6), then the armor would make a difference.

Another thing to be considered is the size of the raba (which isn't bad when vertical strafing), the fact that the bretonian Gunboat is a brick, and the fact that the raba has 600 b/b and the Bretonian has 400 b/b. On top of that, the Raba can fire their stuff longer than the bretonian can fire their weapons.
Oh, another interesting fact, the Raba turns faster than the Salvager (I believe).:D
I'm sure things like this could be tested in-game. (I sold my raba though)

True, I ought to drop by Kusari and pick a fight with a local Raba.
But sidetracking aside, I am still wondering if there are more people interested in events like these.

I would be interested in something, although its not really for me to decide (I'm only in the [|] which I use occasionally)
I'll bring a raba (I have enough to buy another) if you bring a salvager.
