Yes, it is a republic, and it is also a representative democracy.
And mining got nerfed because so many miners misbehaved.
And even "nerfed", I think it still pulls more than trading most of the time.

Well I'm looking for a reputable faction that arn't unlawfuls, arn't rebels or anything like that, and don't rule the people with an iron fist. I tried. I just cannot rp like that. Looking at you rhineland, what 'people worship the chancellor' I feel they should be able to VOTE YOUR FAT ASS OUT if they wanted to.

Well, I'm told that there are high level Liberty Navy missions is New Hampshire (?). It's one of those systems over near there, I don't remember which.

Try O-15. 900k mission's for BH/Junker/Rheinland/corsair/hessien, but be ready for cap's on the higher paid job's.

And there is no way I can do those anti cap mishs unless I have a cap. And I cannot afford another cap. But I guess I can stand serving the order... problem is their alliane with sairs really puts me off.

Gallic Royal Navy missions make quite a lot of money for a mission. They're particularly easy when you're fighting brigands. Though, it might take a bit of skill to do the missions solo, I dunno. I was doing them solo in a Lynx okay.
Also if you describe yourself as a lone wolf then... have you considered Single player?
