Doom is correct, it still is the only fighter with a forward firing turret, has been since the dawn of time. Though
bringing it and the other guns to bear on anything else, with its current manouverability is getting hard.
The Titan, usually the carrier of the 'slow old bus' crown, turns way better now, with more armour.
The hardpoint issue ... The wing mounted guns get blown off a whole bunch faster than the fuselage mounted
ones, I'd prefer my level 10's to stay right where they are.

for that u don't need to move hard points...it is only matter of editing some lines in shiparch.ini file...

However the thought of an extra pair of guns sounds good, they're OK imo.

Just some maneuverability is much needed. The Sabre is getting outturned by most of the fighters out there - even the Nephthys and Titan and every other House MKII VHF.

Gun placement is perfect as it is.

Well I think Sabre can't be outturned by Titan and I don't know where you guys get it from.

The Titan is twice as heavy as the Sabre, so it accelerates and strafes slower. The same should apply to maneuverability, but I am not a modder myself...

Oh, god, I forgot about the subgroup damage:shok:!

Either way, I still think it's a good idea. I'll live without the gun changes, but agility and powerplant need some help. Maybe a little armor nudgey-nudgey, too.

Majk, I know the numbers. They puzzle me too, but look at the steering torque and the angular drag. Not to mention I had to use every trick I know to be even close to match your turning.

A maneuverability increase would be most welcome.

As for the rest... Epyon, please reconsider what are you saying.

I was trying every trick too...:)

There is a way to find out, and I will do it when I have some time - target a sun and count how many turns the ship does in one minute.
