Nope same problem. I Even thought it was some kind off windows socket error. So I reinstalled Windows same problem. i JUST CAN'T LEAVE Bretonia ever. Online or SP caimpaign and Open SP. I even installed a diffrent copy of Freelancer same problem. Then for some reason I can always run CROSSFIRE MOD without any problems.

Well I had problems with my old computer doing something similar because the graphics card would not support it.
Now for you I guess there is a conflict with your hardware and Freelancer or a more obvious solution...
Do a virus/trojan horse/spyware scan. See if that turns anything up, make sure your computer can handle. Make sure you not only have installation room but a few extra GB on hand for optimum performance. Do a complete reinstall, just delete the FL folder and install it again.

I reinstalled Freelancer original I had the same problem without the MOD. I think it's this copy of Freelancer. Problem is I don't think they sell this game anymore. Anyone have links to Torrents. My system can handle it trust me. 2.6 Pentium D 2 GIGS ram at 800FSB. 700 Watt Power supply,..I have a Terabyte of Hardrive space on RAID O1 an O2. If I can run C &C 3 without problem this should be no problem. I think it's just this copy of Freelancer. Had the same error without the MOD.
