Indeed. I've been trading for every one of my waking hours these past four days, when I'm not at work or peeing, and I've only racked up 270 mil, plus the cost of a whale and an uber-train. I can see the armor being ridiculously expensive, but that's twice what a system costs. I mean, come on. If it costs more than the ship itself... Crank it down to 400 mil, please. I'd like to get my BS flying sometime before New Years.

u dont really need it. once i had a test thing on my own server with supernova. (back in 4.82) we had equal ships (nomad battleship) except he had armor upgrade MK8 and i had none. I beat him twice in a row without dying, getting repaired, or b/b. they give you an edge but in the case of that armor upgrade. just get the regular one.

Yes and imo there should be mor such goodies.
Scanners, shields, maybe even guns. Horrific price for a terrific effect.
A scanner with a 20k range? 500mil
super gun, using all the battleship's power for 1 shot, projectile flying 8k far and crippling a lighter cap with 1 shot? (1 mountable) a bil, maybe more

In my opinion, No uber shields or weapons, but scanners, "special" IDs with longer range tractors (Guard ID's for 50 mil?) and a thruster with no drain for one billion credits? There is a world of possibilities, but on second thought, it can't be done quickly. My vote goes for an 'uber' scanner for 500 mil. The spyglass should be the only cap that gets it as default, but should cost 200 mil more (making it 600 mil) to stop pople buying the spyglass just for the scanner.

Yeah it's hardly worth it when the one right below it saves you what? 400.3 Mil huh? YEAH nobody has one except a select few not liek you'll be finding everyone with one and getting destroyed if you want one (dare i say it?) TRADE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

another idea. have a special item that costs a ton. but is only sold at a certain base in a certain system. a MINE MAZE system. 1 shot kills ya.
takes like 1-3 hours to get through IF you can. then ya gotta spend like 400 mil to buy the item

I like the super-scanner and even the uber-gun, And I suppose the armor is fine too...Okay, you've convinced me. The horrendous price tag can stay. Fairly useless anyway. I'd be willling to pay for the gun, though...

Not useless. A MKVIII BS is a psychological weapon and a physical weapon too.
I've seen people running away from the Iluvatar, once they found the MKVIII armor on it...
