The Confederate Party of Liberty
Was bored during the server downtime and made this, anyway the Confederacy wouldn't do any piracy they are purely about political RP but the group of Confederate Extremists. IE the ones who want total isolation of Liberty at all costs support the Xenos movement by funding, and giving their support secretly when they can.
Confederate Members can be anyone from Traders, Military Captains/Admirals, or just normal Citizens.
It's a Political Party after all so a Confederate Extremist might decide to let a Xenos go or look the other way, or "drop" his cargo of military goods.
Perhaps through RP a few members could become I don't know: Governor of Texas, Colorado, ect....

Yeah I don't think I'll make it a Official Faction as it doesn't need anything like that and I don't have the credits to fund two official factions but I think it will do great as just a player group.

Are you planning to integrate slavery too? It was actually a key concept of the Confederate States of America, on which the Confederacy of Man from Starcraft is based aswell. Even though that feature was excluded from Stacraft, it could be managed within the bounds of Freelancer.
Also, naming the flagship Norad aswell? I tend to thing that's a too obvious reference to Starcraft, which I personally despise. Hint: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_ships...ate_States_Navy

Norad was the only thing I took just because I must remember Duke... Who died. *Salutes* He was probably my favorite character in Star Craft and I'll always remember him.
It's also not the Flagship he's just a member, I may change it in the future I'm not sure I'm pretty tired so my mind isn't where it should be but that's what happens when you spend all night working on ideas... (And than discover the new feature on Discovery and spend more hours pimping up ship)
Anyway: I'm thinking about Slavery maybe it could be a secret agenda because they will realize that an open policy wouldn't get them much support with the people.

A way of getting slavery involved could be using immigrants and foreigners as slaves, seeing that this is a radical nationalist group. Those who support it certainly won't hold their support back because the outsiders they hate are not kept out, but are forced to do labour for them instead.
You're right though, maintaining secrecy first off could be a good idea, dependant on how radical actions this group would commit.
And yeah, the Confederacy in Starcraft was something I deem an epic concept too, but I personally prefer faction/player group ideas taken from other games kept to a minimum. Just base it on the CAS, which is an RL element, most adequate for the Freelancer universe.

Intresting idea. Like it, but the faction should be small, just as the movement. I guess.
Now, nope, it wouldn't ally with any foreignt enteties who are trying to gain something from inner wars.
Heh I don't know if this could be achieved, but if the idea will work, xenos might become like parties strike force or something. All radical movements had their strike force (blackshirts in Italia for example). This would be the quite intresting in rp. And might help the xenos funding. But hem, this might be to drastic.
