I know someone poorer... someone who was here for a looong time before me. He quickly became one of my best disco pals but he stopped playing Freelancer altogether. (I am sad panda)
Anyway, I don't think he ever had a trader. I think he had a Dromedary miner, but this was before mining was so lucrative.
I'm watching over his single Mk 4 Armor Eagle now....

I think you first only have to mine for 2 weeks if you do you will get about 500 million.
My way = nobium mining 36 million in 1 hour. I play 3-4 hours a day in weekends 6-7 hours so..
I think you're yust spending much time on your liberty gunboat acc.
Mining = boring but if you do for some weeks you almost never have to mine..

Fletcher. You are not the only other 'poor' guy around here.
I own one 5k trans, 2 bombers, 1 VHF and 1 LF. All of them have Universal Armor VIII. The balance right now is on my trader imaginary 20 mil or so. I make money as I need it. I simply don't need that much money. I'm in Kishiro with that 5k, so the most profits go there I as I do an occasional run.
I've financed and owned more ships during my stay here, but have given them away or made them as shared.
