"Ancient" Earth culture and history... - teschy - 03-04-2010 Could be more than 3017 A.D. We do not know how long the journey to the Sirius sector took. As for the recorded history ? Well, who knows. In 800 years, a lot of stuff can happen, records can be lost or deliberately destroyed by certain groups (look at the Hispania for example). It's hard to tell, probably some of it was preserved, but surely some of the history is either taboo or hidden from the public. "Ancient" Earth culture and history... - ... kur nubÄ—go? - 03-04-2010 Of course it is. We do learn history about roman empire at schools for example, right? Since Manhattan and Leeds are both planet-wide citys the likes of Coruscant from starwars (or in Leeds' case, more like industrial sprawl planet), I think they'd have too. "Ancient" Earth culture and history... - Camtheman Of Freelancer4Ever - 03-04-2010 History is one of my favorite subjects (next to Geography, explains why I like to map everything in disco) and id wonder about this Quote:Certain gov'ts may naturally withhold it while certain organizations would make it goal to teach this history Like what kind of history would they restrict? Area 51? Assasinations? I bet they'd teach of the three hundred spartans against the thousands of persians for millitary history. I bet you'd find lessons on WWII Naval Battles on West Point Millitary Academy on new york. Just thinking about history makes me giddy... |
