I still don't get it.
Hypothetical scenario: I'm a Freelancer, but I want a Manta. I rep and ID my ship as a Freelancer one, then request a permission of usage from the BHG, as it's a white cell issue. Once granted, do I have to summon an admin to give me a Manta or I'll be able to buy it regardless of the permission while only red cell ships have to admin-given?
EDIT:
What about re-repping? For example, if I have a BHG manta, but I want to turn it into an LN Guardian; do I just swap the ID to recruit, drop the rep, get a Guardian, then rep up to LN and buy an ID?

It doesn't affect green cells on the chart. So a corsair can still buy corsair tech freely.
The only exception to this is the Cr and civilian Kusari, recent developments on that one make it logically a white cell, we just haven't updated the tech chart to reflect that.
As for buying ships, if you buy a ship believing it to be set up correctly and find it isn't, i.e. it contravenes the rules, inform an Admin the moment you realise.

No you rep up to LN first without dropping the BHG tag. Then once Ln is full green you drop reps till the Ln is your tag, then you buy the guardian. The way it should be done anyway. Ship comes after rep.

You can always just go /restart corsair which beams you to Crete with a CSV and corsair ID/IFF and just buy your ship.

I see. I hope accidentally screwing up with the /droprep won't make me loose my ship, though.

So I'm guessing current bad ship combinations will stay the same until they get ironed out.
Good idea though, though I would prefer it if people just stuck to the rules in the first place.
