ship "bodykit" - RmJ - 04-08-2010 It's very doable, actually its a sort of thing that mainlines my Gundam Mod. Being able to customize your vessels and MS's. I don't see anything wrong with doing it but for this mod, its alot of work. ship "bodykit" - arvg - 04-08-2010 sorry forgive me, but how would it work? I can see the models going on no problem... but what about textures? I mean, we have all played need for speed... now imagine your Starflea, with a spoiler... k... but what decides the texture for that spoiler? I am seeing a rather large pitfall coming. BWT ship with a Corsair set of horns... oh dear. Liberty Gunboat with a storm's engines... ack. This would be neat, but implementation would be a nightmare. ship "bodykit" - Exterminator - 04-08-2010 After all this ideas about changing those ship parts, why not to change ship hull color?(imagine pink Liberty Carrier):D-not gonna happen!(btw,i'm writing from my cellphone:)) ship "bodykit" - Blaze - 04-08-2010 Yes I do want it. But what if they get destroyed? ship "bodykit" - Korolia - 04-08-2010 Put them as shield models or as static gun models going on specific static gun ports available on appropriate ships. Objects of the like can include; Advanced sonar, radar dish, antenna, small solar pannel and whatever. ship "bodykit" - Haphestus - 04-08-2010 imagine canabalising a defender and a patriot then sticking it on a camara frieghter fully loaded with strobe lights. one word. gourdy. but i wouldnt mind. ship "bodykit" - Turkish - 04-08-2010 As I recall one of the main issues with this is that cargopods have independent hitpoints from the hull. You could shoot off all the body work and still have a ship with zero damage to it. ship "bodykit" - Not Espi - 04-08-2010 ' Wrote:You know, most Ships also fly on Planets. :P most of them just moor, actually. those that actually use docking rings to land on the surface are not using their engines at all in the process, because the docking ring works as an elevator. this reduces fuel consumprion to a minimum, which means your argument is invalid:P ps: ne ne ne ne neeeee neeeeeee pps: oh yeah .. aerodynamics of this thing ... are nearing the ones of a mutilated turtle ship "bodykit" - Chase - 04-08-2010 ' Wrote:most of them just moor, actually. those that actually use docking rings to land on the surface are not using their engines at all in the process, because the docking ring works as an elevator. this reduces fuel consumprion to a minimum, which means your argument is invalid:P Have you ever watched the landing cut scenes? Or in Vanilla when the research base on that planet is under attack. Those Rheinland bombers were bombing from probably 1,000 - 5,000 feet high. *Shrug* ship "bodykit" - Not Espi - 04-08-2010 ' Wrote:Have you ever watched the landing cut scenes?
