I'm afraid you'd have to dig in the mod files for these value since they aren't noted on regular infocards.

Quote:But I sure can add the time taken to reach 90% of maximum speed

Tis sufficient. If you mean strafing, that is.

For example it takes a

Sabre 0.4835 seconds to reach the 90% of its max 1.2250 rad per sec
Eagle 0.4717 seconds to reach the 90% of its max 1.3049 rad per sec

Is this what you mean?

nope - I'm talking about how fast you reach your max strafing speed. You strafe by pressing A or D.

No Idea about the strafe acceleration.

Oh, I'm sure he can set ShakeBot up to do that, but putting that sort of thing into the wiki content generator would mean that next time we go through the wiki and work out what needs to be updated (when 4.86 is released), we get those stats from the content generator along with everything else.

Adding stats can and should be done automatically at this point. What you can do though, that would be great, is add a description of what all these stats mean and how they affect the handling of the ships and the different tactics and maneuvers.

Great idea, and while your at it, a review on the particular ship would be most welcome as well ;)

I can do that but someone will have to check the grammar mistakes.

I would be happy to do that.

So I kinda forgot about doing this until tonight, sorry about that. I'm looking at the data I have and my question for you is thus:

What is the best way to present this info?
  1. Time for a full revolution while already turning
  2. Time to turn 90 degrees from rest (or any other angle, either that or 180 I would expect)
  3. Time to 90% (or any other percent) turn rate
  4. Max angular velocity (rad/sec, deg/sec, whatever)
  5. Time to 90% strafe speed
  6. Reverse thrust fraction
Now, #1 and #4 are the same info, #2 and #3 are also the same basically, so what means more to you as a player?
Also, do you want this to get added to the ship infobox itself, or put in the "handling" section?

The 90% is only there because you mentioned it earlier, I don't use FLStat for this info so I'm not limited by what it shows.
In dynamics or control theory applications the standard time constant (tau) is defined as time to reach ~63.2% (=1-e^-1) of the steady-state value, and then you know that the value is ~86.5% (=1-e^-2) at 2*tau, ~95% at 3*tau, etc. However, I know that most people here aren't familiar with college-level physics or engineering, so just give me a threshold and I can compute the time.
