/confiscate command - Prysin - 04-28-2010 this is like promoting cheating...... the abuses will be never ending /confiscate command - Fellow Hoodlum - 04-28-2010 ' Wrote:i sense abuse. loads of it.A sad fact unfortunately, so any command that allows one player to mess with another player's hold/loadout /bank balance will not get implemented. Anything open to abuse will get abused, and the accompanying mountain of extra paperwork and general forum whining, will outweigh the good in the idea in the first place ... /confiscate command - aerelm - 04-28-2010 This is a Perfect idea, and improved the RP in many ways! "You dock in -our- Base with something -We- dont like to be in your Cargo? We'll take it away and you cant argue" But... Yea. It'll be Abused more than it can be used to improve RP. (Sadly) So, Its a 'No' if you ask me. /confiscate command - Syrus - 04-28-2010 How about making that command only availible for official factions? I know, they are not always around when needed, but I say they are more trustworthy than most indies. And abuse would result in being expelled from that faction. I really like the idea about the command, happened many times seeing smugglers dock, when they're cargo was threatened ... Since I'm not in a "official faction" it wouldn't help 'me hunting smugglers' but it would stop them running where they shouldn't go to. /confiscate command - Zapp - 04-28-2010 If it only targetted contraband, could only be used by Guard ID'd characters, and would only work if they land on your base, I don't see how it's abuse. What's abuse is smugglers landing on your base right in front of you even though you told them to stop and notified the dock master or whatever. Makes perfect sense, and covers the whole station security "ground forces" aspect of RP that's non-existant. If smugglers don't wanna get their cargo taken like that, they can bloody well run to their own bases. /confiscate command - peter123 - 04-28-2010 Maybe contraband will be confiscated automatically when smuggler docks on house police/military base? EDIT: Contraband wont be confiscated if you have police/military id /confiscate command - Hawkwings - 04-28-2010 You'd have to cover lawful bases as well, such as house corporations. Maybe every base would have certain contraband items that they automatically confiscate? Cardi/artifacts, affiliated pilots, slaves, etc. And for unlawful bases, they would confiscate their own pilots and perhaps some other items as well. /confiscate command - Prototype - 04-28-2010 ' Wrote:i sense abuse. loads of it.signed. Result: little pro's, many contra's. /confiscate command - tansytansey - 04-29-2010 ' Wrote:You'd have to cover lawful bases as well, such as house corporations. Maybe every base would have certain contraband items that they automatically confiscate? Cardi/artifacts, affiliated pilots, slaves, etc. And for unlawful bases, they would confiscate their own pilots and perhaps some other items as well.It would be far easier to just remove those bases as selling points... but that's not the point. If it's only useable on contraband, only usable by Guard IDs and only useable on your own bases (and possibly Local Corporation bases for Navys/Police) I don't see any room for abuse. It's legitimate roleplay if you're caught with contraband and dock on a lawful base that it would be confiscated. Alternatively, only make it available to Police Factions, and give them something actually different from the Navy. Maybe it'll shake up some activity for Police Factions instead of just Navy Ships acting like policemen everywhere. /confiscate command - Not Espi - 04-29-2010 how about - if a person has more than 5% of his cargo made of items on a 'base contraband list' he is rejected docking rights? this would not include smuggler selling points, of course. for obvious reasons. |
