Rules Page Update - Treewyrm - 09-19-2007 Has been suggested a little bit earlier. Rules Page Update - DarkOddity - 09-19-2007 Congrats.:)Never claimed originality, in fact I think I got it from somewhere else outside disco. Also, the fact that it's been mentioned in the past, should be reason enough to add it. Rules Page Update - Fellow Hoodlum - 09-19-2007 Good Lord its hard enough to get people to read one board, let alone two ... All thats needed is a much more visible link here, or even better, a sub-section for just the rules here in the Discovery HQ forum. Lets keep it in house please. The fact that things get mentioned once or twice before, doesn't make them a candidate for instant change, just take the example of passwording the server ... Hoodlum Rules Page Update - alance - 09-19-2007 How about just put a redirect page at: http://www.discoverygc.com/rules Redirect that page to the rules section here and we're golden. That URL is simple and can be broadcast in game as easily as rules.discoverygc.com is. Rules Page Update - Fellow Hoodlum - 09-19-2007 Morrigan, that works fine for me, and even easier. Be nice if people came here and found them that easy too. Hoodlum Rules Page Update - Igiss - 09-19-2007 My hosting doesn't support subdomains. Or, it does support them, but I've got a limit of 3 sites and the limit is already used. Just make a folder on the web hosting server called 'rules' and add an Index.htm page with a re direct script to the rules page.:) Rules Page Update - estevesbk - 09-19-2007 Yup I totally support the http://www.discoverygc.com/rules redirect. And if you can, please, I would love you take your time also to make them more clear...I don't know if it's only me but we are having some troubles understanding the rules...you me see it in my first "hello" thread: http://discoverygc.com/forums/index.php?sh...c=7149&st=0 | and some parts are actually being discussed in this thread: http://discoverygc.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=7257 (see post 9 by Drake) . Please, if you can, improve a little the ruling system. I know it's annoying but as more complete are the rules, less is the chance that a player thinks he was banned or fined by a mistake. Thanks so much in advance! Rules Page Update - DarkOddity - 09-19-2007 ' Wrote:How about just put a redirect page at: That is exactly what "rules.discoverygc.com" would be able to do. In fact, it's easier to make a redirect with a sub-domain than a folder on your web server. And Hoodlum, I think you mis-understand, I am NOT talking about adding a new forum. Not by a long shot. Rules Page Update - alance - 09-20-2007 ' Wrote:That is exactly what "rules.discoverygc.com" would be able to do.Maybe, maybe not. A page that redirects requires nothing more than a new directory and a new html file, done. Adding another subdomain could require more work, depends on the web service. Besides, Igiss already said he's out of subdomains allowed by his service. |
