well i do fly a ravens claw right now. or talon? - its some black thingy with triangular wings. looks neat; but it can t take much damage - compared to vhf or so. but i like the change to something thats moving a bit easier than a brick in molasse.

Yeah, but not only is the Marsflier overpowered but it's also really hard to RP.
The Raven's Talon, which you get at Planet Gran Canaria, looks pretty nice and is a well-balanced ship. Give it a try.
I still haven't found a favourite ship myself. I like the Templar and Nepthys because they have strong hulls, but the ship I'm using at the moment, the Kiith Somtaaw Heavy Fighter (which is mis-classified and should be classified as a VHF due to its stats) has great firepower.

the kiith somtaav is that thing that looks very much like - a big square box ( body ) and 2 other big square boxes attached to its sides ( errr.. wings? ) and a big box on top of it ( engine? ). all in all it looks very much like the lego masterpiece of a 3 years old with little to no skill regarding to design and style.
30.000 hull and an engine thats powerful enough to even allow the most fearsome weapons to mount still won t make me fly that thing. allthough - if you re a pirate you can very much use the several seconds of confusion when ppl see the kiith somtaav to demand your tax. ( ppl try to figure out what it is they see on their sensors.... flying depot? space trash? talking cargo boxes? )
attach thrusters on to a "red cargo pod" and it looks better.
Ps.: i haven t seen the kiith in actiion yet, nor have i purchased one to test it. i just checked it out with a CAD model viewer.

The Marsflyer isn't overpowered. It flies like a brick with a guy on it whos blowing backwards to get it to move forward. Its the heaviest ship I've ever flown. A man in a Rheinland bomber flew circles around me. :wacko:
If it could move, I would use it. I love that ship... As I love cheap old movies! And annoying people by sitting on their bridge... "Bing.... Bing.... Bing.... Bing...."
Did I mention that I feel the Raven's Talon is overpowered? Meh. Guess I didn't. Oh well.

i guess we are off the topic guys. i sometimes suffer the same problem crateria has. a link concerning ship classifications or any help would be great...
