What do ya mean? In A fighter VS fighter PVP a well shot missile can make the difference from a win or lose.. I mean, 1 of those missiles and there shield is gone. 1 of the hull blaster missiles and thats the end for some fighters...

(Let me give you a clue. Take them out of engine kill so they can't evade their fate)
(Blow of there thruster... What can you do without that? Use a fast missile)

I'm curious how much damage a Parlyzer does and how many shield points a gunboat has. I don't have access to any stats here at work. I've never considered loading a fighter with something like 6xParalyzer and using it to shield bust gunboats, kind of a cool idea if the numbers work.

Hmm.. I think that only 1 or 2 would hit.. The others would get blown out before impact by the other missiles...
This could lead to a chain of explosions back to your ship. Worse case scenario = Your shields get taken down by your own missiles. :crazy:

not true.
missiles all launch at same time.
unless you are sitting right on top of the GB, the missiles, while they may chain react, will all probably be in range of the GB

So what? You expect the thing to take out any type of shield with just one hit? Get real mate. That missile is the best anti shield missile in freelancer 1.0, and in freelancer 1.0, you only fight figthers with shields!

But since the discovery mod has been added, it is no longer the best.

Tough luck, but you will not find a gun that takes out the entire shield in just one blow..:dry:

That would make bombers far too uber if they can take a gunboat shields in 1/2 hits... 4 paralyzers, 2 nova cannons would make quick ( yet very expensive) work of any capship...

And, I don't see why the gunboats would have a glitch to MISSILES only on their shields... but, I'm no mod maker, beta tester, but not much else. You still gota see the bigger balance issue though, you can't just say
" I WANT THIS BETTER BECAUSE IT SHOULD BE!"..

Lag is another issue. Missiles are much harder to use from a higher ping...

well..the fact is.. EMP missiles actually do insignificant damage to capital shields (if any)..also you need 100 missiles to drop ordinary transport shields (providing that they actuality work...but from what i saw they don't)...

however...they do work on fighters...and they work great...


for capital ship sheilds guns are much better answer...cheaper, no chance of dropping your own shield, and guns are probably more precise...u can't simply miss big ship with guns...:P

I cannot express how much I love infernos. 2 bombers; one with dual infernos and 4 Nomad blasters/CODEs, the other with dual Novas (or razors when the new mod comes) and 4 adv. debilitators. Bye bye cruiser!

I outfitted one of my fighters with a nova, 2 SOLARIS, and 2 Paralyzers along with nukes, and a few passes was all Dopie could take with those missiles and mines.. :crazy:
