That's fair enough, just remember to get your kit before you swap into your morph's ship as you can't land on any station to sell anything decent once you're ID'd.

so if i read this correctly it is actually possible to get a nomad trial id and a nomad light fighter without having to jointhe keepers?

Yes, but it also rephacks you completely hostile to all but nomads/outcasts, and you cannot attack anyone except in self-defence. The light fighter is weaker and lesser than the voidrunner. You also must stick to the nomad RP, which can be rather confusing at times.
