/lockdown - kersch_wasser - 07-18-2010 eh...i wouldnt sugest the lockdown command for gates..but how bout this the lockdown command emits a special disruptor pulse which shuts down the tradelanes with a radius similar to firing onthem /lockdown - Coin - 07-19-2010 ' Wrote:Scary....very scary. Good, but scary. pirates shouldnt use trade lanes ' Wrote:eh...i wouldnt sugest the lockdown command for gates..but how bout this y not just fire on them then? is it possible to lock it down to 'red' players only? /lockdown - Grumblesaur - 07-19-2010 ' Wrote:pirates shouldnt use trade lanesLane Hackers. /lockdown - Stygian - 07-19-2010 Quote:lolbertyAren't you cool.... Anyways, this seems like a lot of effort for too little a thing. You can already shoot down a trade lane pretty easily. This would also kill the chase, which is always fun. People should be drawn to police factions for RP reasons. Sure the Navy gets all the big shiny toys. With police factions you get to be more laid back, less YES SIR, JAWHOL, and whatnot. The only command that I think would be useful for police factions is the /scan command, or some variation of it. That way you could stop a smuggler from quickdocking. /lockdown - rupturex - 07-19-2010 It's an intresting idea, specialy because police factions are rolling down the hill, it's quite dificult to see their ships **I mean official factions**. But 14k seens to be so much, and things are quite tough for smuglers/pirates specialy in NY sytem, we have LN, =LSF=, LPI and dont forget those BHG ships. Why dont just span disruptors on those ships trying to flee and shot your own lane to disrupt before some badit try to use it as an escape route? As a merc I use these tactics with efficiency... Besides this, It's a great idea for police houses **only** with the exeption maybe for alaska / LN / =LSF=. And if this idea get incorporated in Freelancer Disc, make it works just for official factions. ( I dont think its possible, but who knows??? ) No one wants to see a loling guy disrupting all the lanes like that!!! /lockdown - Alex. - 07-19-2010 And what about the independants that want to do the same? /lockdown - rupturex - 07-19-2010 For idependents this should be given just for trusted ones. I really dont think that is possible to implement a comand like that.... /lockdown - Snoozzzer - 07-19-2010 This is a problem that does not exist. If the police and navy are too incompetent to achieve the very basic task of killing lanes with a few pulses, then yeah...pirates outta walk free. Get off your gorram arse, and train the men to contain such situations. ....why official faction members only though? There are -plently- of good independent cops. Define "trusted" too, does that mean, your buddies, someone who completed a test, what? /lockdown - rupturex - 07-19-2010 trusted are: people known for GOOD RP. you should had find out that. And I agree with you. when you said this. Quote:This is a problem that does not exist.
