create an indie... trader, smuggler, miner, whatever.
then use that to fund your interests... find your attention wandering in OSC? meh, play on your indie, and can let that char die.
it means that the next time you feel like a disco break, you can come back to a fully pimped out ship, and can make cash instantly, rather than:

You are one of the last factions to constantly need new blood Panzer:P.
I'd suggest to you One of the Trading factions. Reasoning? They might not have the best opportunities for pew-pew on the server, but most of them are steady factions and don't require a lot of your time trading, plus group trading is fun. Try Bowex.
Lend a hand to the Bretonian unlawfuls, Mollies I say.
Of course, Gallia always needs more members, although Rebel RP will have drastic changes in 4.86:)
Oh and of course, Order.
