Come to think of it - the reason for a Zoner Carrier is for transporting goods to the "Mysterious" Jinkusu in deep space. The "Fearless" can take over its job, but for bigger quantity - Zoner Carrier has been born. Though, I'll still have to agree with you, Elven.
But meh, ... I just like 3d modeling:P

I still think Jinx can do a better job an making a better quality version than the current one. Again, reason why i made this is because I own one :/

I don't know why people consistantly place their hangers on a carrier at the prow of a ship. That's quite possibly the worst place for the fighters to launch from when the carrier is in distress. Not only is it the point of focus for enemy fire in a head on capital ship battle, but the carriers turrets will also be blazing, making the launching fighters launch straight into the cross fire.

Anyway good model, nice skills.. but it would be better if you used them to make replacement for those imports.:)

the current carrier is based on my taste - but i m aware that it doesn t quite fit in. - it was mostly done to quickly replace the battlestar advanced.
i don t mind replacing a ship with a better one. - but quite frankly, i d expect something better from Luis. - this ship looks about as uninspired as the one i did... and also quite low on general details.
by the looks its a bit too much looking like the starlancer era.
the following is all about taste - so there s no good / bad, right / wrong:
- the tail is rather strange. its simply scaled down to a spikey bit - but onion shaped instead of rounded.
- the hangars are huge - but only two blocks. - especially the front and side view displays no creative lining. - from the side, they are straight boxes ... and from the front, they may rather be bend down at the sides to create a / \ shape rather than a - - shape. it would help breaking the horizontal / vertical lines that dominate the model too much
- the difference to the current carrier is too little. - if there s a replace, it might as well be something really new based on the zoner lines, - the aquilon is not really zonerish ( it wasn t sure what faction it would go to at the time it was made )
all in all - luis has made some excellent designs already - but imo, this is not one of them. - this comes mostly from the proportions that i don t like.
its extremely wide for its hight - and appears too short somehow. - as if it had run into a wall. - if the there was more detail added to increase the hight of the ship.... and it was elongated by at least 20% - it might look much better, imo

Well from a RP standpoint a carrier would launch and run, not change head in, how I see it anyway.
Of course carriers are pointless in disco since they cant launch anything
Personaly, I think the best carrier is the RMBS. The hanger bays are located amidships and the hanger doors are on the sides.

well even Jinx admins the current Aquillion doesnt fit in.
Personaly, I say just make a scaled down Juggy, add hanger bay doors.
I dont know why carriers have to have an open hanger, its begging for a lucky torp to set off internals.

why not just have them both, more veriety, i dont get why there can only ever be 1 type of somthing per faction
and Tomoe, the hangar would be permanently shielded.
