ALG/Liberty? - Varyag - 09-27-2010 Speaking of Rhein NPCs Republican transports are making me just lol constantly. I mean... my god. Charging the Misery? Its awesome. ALG/Liberty? - tansytansey - 09-28-2010 People don't understand that Liberty is not at war with Rheinland; Liberty's Government and Liberty's Navy are at war with Rheinland's Government and Rheinland's Military. If ALG are a privately owned corporation (which I assume they are, but my knowledge of Rheinland corporations leaves a lot to be desired) then Liberty has no qualms with them. Enforce the embargo, but if ALG is not trading directly to Rheinland, then they are supporting Liberty's economy, not Rheinland's. People are looking at this war in Black and White. Or more accurately, Green and Red is dead. ALG/Liberty? - Mickk - 09-28-2010 I know there are some ships that are red to my Libby Gunboat, mostly because it runs a Liberty Navy Guard ID/IFF. I can't be sure until I get in game again, but I think ALG is one of the factions that is RED to my Libby GB. However, since the fire from their escorts generally bounces off of my shield, I ignore them and go about my business. I haven't run up against any player flown ALG ships as yet though. Their main smelter is located in New Berlin (Dortmund Station) and they import waste materials from basically all over Sirius. Liberty, including the Liberty Navy, is a supplier of this waste product. As far as I know there is no other company, Libertine or otherwise, that handles waste removal. But yea, considering they are a MOX producer it's likely they support the Rheinland economy. ALG/Liberty? - Syrus - 09-28-2010 As far as I know ALG is the only Rheinland corporation, which "is allowed to operate/fly in/through" Liberty. But I'm putting that in "", because I'm not sure. But being the "best waste disposal company" it would be strange if they weren't allowed in Liberty. I think ALG is one of those groups which aren't really paid any attention too. Almost no one plays them, they only have two (?!) bases and you don't see many NPCs of them around. (Being a member of the IMG, I always wonder why the IMG is "allied" to them..."Who are they?!!!" ;) They just don't have any connection to the IMG in my opinion.) Daumann, Kruger and Republican ships are banned and rep ninja'd by Liberty, ALG is the only one with entry permit. So whoever enacted that is viewing the war as black and white. Furthermore, individual decisions and RP hardly can resolve that if you're blasted by a cruiser patrol near the Hudson gate. Same applies to the Bretonian trader - Kusari trader relations. Addressing the logical perspective, a Rheinland trader takes the Rheinland product abroad, turns it into cash and takes the cash back to Rheinland, as it is not embargoed. That is supporting the economy. ' Wrote:As far as I know ALG is the only Rheinland corporation, which "is allowed to operate/fly in/through" Liberty. But I'm putting that in "", because I'm not sure. Ironically, I'm on my ALG atm and have been for another 120 hours.... I assume you're just not really picking the right time to look. See, you can always join if you deem the faction so offensively inactive, but if you aren't intending to help out, then... yeah. Also, your note about the IMG-ALG alliance stuck me as a surprise too, that must be a mistake. The ALG is not listed on the information sheet of the official IMG as allied, nor is the IMG listed on the ALG relation sheet at all. I should ask Ventana about that though... ALG/Liberty? - AeternusDoleo - 09-28-2010 Probably they aren't allied, but friendly, considering both parties have taken in a lot of ex-Kruger workers laid off after the 80 year war. And ALG treats it's workers with a lot more respect then Kruger or Daumann. Problem for ALG I suppose is the lack of profit to be made. It exports MOX and nukes primarily, both of which are considered restricted in most houses. But it's primary industry, the transportation of hazardous waste, just isn't profitable. (Unless you're moving it with a bloody barge. A waste barge.) It's an interesting faction for roleplay though. I can see NLH paying them incentives to clean up Leeds a bit for instance. |
