I'm not worried about Fantasia, I doubt anybody's going to try and go after her, but it really seems like this has gone beyond the people who use battleships, straight to the Battleships. I don't even hear names anymore, but people hate the ships! Hell, there's a Ships We Need thread on (a good idea, yes) and it expressly states in very sullen tones that we don't need any more Battleships, period, ever. It's pretty close to true, but it won't inspire cap whoring because there are already enough ships to whore. It just seems like people don't want anything to do with the ships at all now, ever, period...

Hey, I wasn't being sullen, I just said we don't need anymore battleships made for several reasons... First, any NPC faction that could reasonably have a battleship already has one, and second... Last I checked we had more battleships available in the mod than gunboats and cruisers combined... This might have changed, I haven't added them up recently. But seriously, how can we expect people to not want their own shiny battleship when there are more of them available than anything other than fighters?

Jacking the price doesn't work.
All the Tau-31 mob last month were willing to sit and trade for days on end to finance an uber-ship.
They'll take different routes now, but will still end up in battleships.

Nay, I think there's a very big significance to the number Seven...it sort of marks the innatainable in the human mind. Anything greater than Seven usually and subconsciously considered a Big Number, something very hard to do. It will make some people very determined, but scare others away.
