Nice sig kindred, I was wondering who'll be the first to use that quote.
In fact, the reasons for delay were posted in the news forum as well, and it just seems lucky enough that you don't have courage to include them below the original quote - that is, if you do find that quote appropriate.
It's true that we failed to follow the original promises on release times, but we were honestly presuming that the dev team will not lose nearly as many members as it actually did. For objective and respectable reasons; people got life, and mod development takes quite a large chunk out of it. You have to try before you actually realize how large that chunk happens to be.
Returning to the thread's topic... I'm of course not demanding that you vote for Discovery or vote at all. If you don't wish to vote for Disco, vote for other Freelancer mods, there are many good ones.
And I'd even agree that we don't truly deserve a Top-100 entry this time: not only that we haven't got any new releases and been into Top-100 3 times already. I also didn't even announce the vote when it started (for the first time in years) and didn't do any promotion for the mod at the site. So, I won't be surprised if we don't qualify.
Yet, your votes help to make Disco and Freelancer on the whole more notable in the global scheme of events, and I still strongly recommend that you do vote.
