This almost poo-poo's the re-engagement rule

I don't think its a glitch if its consistently happening like this.

I killed a IMG in Kyushu (player) And it didn't say I killed him, no NPC's around, I inflicted all the damn damage. I hate it when this happens. Its like that "Killed by NPC glitch" but worse!

Your right, forgot for sec that there was a difference.....thanks for clearing that up. But....Ioncross still could be affecting it:crazy:

Eh, it seems to show up as blue if you killed them/were killed. So thats a way of telling.

That happens when someone dies in the same system as you, it doesnt matter wether your involved or not.

it shows up as blue if they were killed in the same system you are in, red if they are somewhere else.

Oh fair enough, Because it only ever showed up when I died or I killed someone I assumed it meant that you were involved in someway. My bad.

There was a thread in the not so long ago about metagaming or something of the sort. Went on about how people were using the console messages and chat list to track down other pilots and whether it was an 'in character' practice or not.

Perhaps the "So and so was killed by so and so(gun/missile/etc.)" was removed from the console messages in response to that thread.

Personally, I use the chat list to see who is where. Makes my runs either short(no pirates at JH) or long (pirates at JH), etc. Long range scanning, or tracing transmissions, if you will.

Cheers,
Idaho.
