Mercenary company don't need back-stories? Perhaps it isn't necessary but its highly encouraged. Especially if Stalemate wants to eventually apply for Factionhood. It also gives Stalemate the chance to create the faction's own personalized rp. Yes you can make it up as you go along but things turn out much better in my experience when there is a general outline/plan to follow. It doesn't have to be like a novel either just a paragraph or two.
But he already said he's just wanted feedback on the idea so there is no reason to discuss this any longer.

Instead of creating a back story, he could you know; run the faction for awhile and create the back story as it goes. Then after awhile apply for officialness if that is even what he wants.
A short story about how the founders came together and decided to become mercs along with how they got their initial funding would be nice though. Then build upon it in game/forums.
I'd suggest a name change too. The Mandalorians kinda have the MM thing trade marked.

I see that they now operate under the name Blackwater Worldwide.
Im not sure if i really want the name to be such, as its quite tainted
by controversity.
Perhaps the Blackwater Worldwide made it to this day, in freelancer history?
Then perhaps we have a background to be based on.
Also, this would make the mercenary company Libertonian, unless we adopt the
name but not the history.
