Mines - pchwang - 01-09-2011 One of the good things about mine drain is that someone cannot simply cruise up to a trade lane and drop a mine, then quickdock. Before the drain on energy from cruise was on the server, pirates used to use that technique to escape very effectively. That should still work since a basic amount of your energy remains untouched by the cruise-drain so you can drop CMs. As far as I know: mines up to a Screamer are still usable with this technique. People still use that technique, not to mention a powerpirate like myself, saved my arse more times than I can count. Mines - Primitive - 01-09-2011 Hey ProwlerPC, thank you:) Mines - Rapur - 01-09-2011 ' Wrote:I'm sure all fighter mines drain negligible energy, such that they wouldn't make an impact on energy consumption overall. Last time I tried to use a starflier with nuke mines, but it doesn't have enough energy to launch them. Mines - hribek - 01-09-2011 that's why the drain is there. |
