Stupid question, and slighty off topic, considering how I managed to get freelancer back after losing my disc but are you able to download Bad Company 2 and play online if I use a CD image and crack? Or would I be better just biting the bullet?

With Battlefield 3 I will pay though.

I am hoping that they give you the choice between squad and team chat, so I can finally shout at the retards.

Yep..The classic Battlefield games where the maps had no limits( Go where you want)

I use to play a game called Joint Operations (IC and ICE mod)...The best FPS shooter ever, not the greatest graphics in the world but certainly the best i have played for team work, strategies and just pure all out war and fun.

I was also a part of a Tournament back in the day where 2 Armies lead by general's fought it out every Sunday with upto 250 players on the server..Tanks,Helicopters,Bikes, Boats..it had everything....Spec Ops units...Tank division if that was your thing.

Public Server Just me showing off in a public server kicking butt.

I've heard of that Joint Operations, never dipped my toe though.

I just want a FPS which has a high player count that you don't have to pay a monthly subscription.

Battlefield 3 is the true successor to Battlefield 2. Beyond our signature multiplayer, we have also included a full single-player campaign and a co-op campaign '€“ all straight out of the box. As for fan favorite features, how does the return of jets, prone, and 64-player multiplayer (on PC) sound? All this built with our powerful new game engine Frostbite 2, which you'll hear and see a lot of in the months leading up to launch. For the full reveal on Battlefield 3, stay tuned for links to our cover stories hitting the gaming press throughout February, starting with Game Informer right now.

Good News and Bad News

http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=421095

Good:
Spotting Returns
Drop Shotting is Out
SP Original Unrelated to BFBC Series w/ More Narrative
PC is Lead Platform
Dev Team Twice as Big as BFBC2's
(New York, Terhan, Paris, Iraq) Confirmed Locations
Bad: Console is currently limited to 24 man due to hardware and network limitations. May increase.

Battlefield 3 - Canadianguy - 02-14-2011

As much as I love jets, I wonder if it might cause any kind of balance problems.

Some might remember in BF2 vanilla how well piloted jets would simply dominate the map.

Battlefield 3 - Fletcher - 02-14-2011

I want tanks, many tanks, and more tanks. Why? Because I'm sick of wandering around with just infantry weapons. Tanks are scary creatures, let them be feared, let them roll with dignity.

Also, I hope on the PC version there will be aircraft, every console version of Battlefield only gets helicopters at best, never actual planes.

Snipers, go to hell.
Engineers, get in your tanks.
Assault, smash into those buildings.
Support, sit down and shut up.

Nope
Online Requires a EA Account and a valid CD Key linked. Game is cheap worth every penny.
A plus is you can register the CD Key you get in Retail or Digital with EA Download Manager. Lose your CD and Key later on, no worries, just log into EA and download the game (if you registered the key with the manager), log in and play.

Fletcher
Jets have already been confirmed for BF3.
Also Snipers =/= Recon :D
Sure they gave the ghille and the Rifle. But play a Assault/Run and Gun Recon with the squad, lots of fun and helps the team a hell of alot more then pitching a tent.

Remember when talking about the player limit. Frostbite 2 requires ALOT more power then say M.A.G or BF2 Mods or other games. Consdering they got it upto 64 from 32 (hopefully while keeping performance respectable) for PC is pretty impressive enough.
Also if anyone diddnt see,
