Reminds of Space Cowboy Online, You could have hundreds upon hundreds upon hundreds of people in one spot at the same time (of course my computer didnt like it, and there were only 3 megaservers)

EVE is... Disagreeable. I just don't see what appeals to people of a point-and-click space ship game. I like direct control of my ship, please and thank you, Freelancer.
Plus, in the intro/tutorial... Well, lets just say its not noob friendly. It doesn't even tell you how to get/make a new ship... Or... Anything but click auto-pilot for halfway across the galaxy then leave the computer for a few hours. A friend had me try it and character creation is more fun than the actual game to me.

The first and conclusive argument, that completely swayed me away from even trying EvE is:
Money. I don't exactly feel like paying for something I might or might not be entertained by.
