Kusari Destroyer.
Hands down the best Cruiser when flown properly, and if all you've got is 300 mil, you can at least afford to buy one (and have cash left for armour).
Edit: Also, Battleships are only really effective when they have escorts, so unless you're looking to join a faction and get a Battleship, you may want to stick to Cruisers, as at least they can run away quite quickly if needs be, BSs just get stuck in combat and die if the enemy has a single CD, and is more powerful.

It's the equivalent of buying a nerfed BS and a nerfed cruiser and then putting the worst of both in the product. Awful.

edit: The Royal Navy (gallia) Battleship has real cool design and is quite powerful as well. But your ZoI is a bit boring, but that will change when 4.86 is released i think.

The Order's Resheph is pretty user friendly and cool to RP. It's used for recon, but also useful in a support roll. You can't get much better IMO.

The Juggy will get torn up by anything that can kite to some degree, and by the Valor and KuBS, which can overpower it due to the fact that they can strafe somewhat effectively and the Juggy cant.
Also, the Bullhead is infinitely better than the Geb, simply because it is smaller and more agile. Basically, a well flown Bullhead will beat a Geb 1 v 1 every time.
Though you are right, they are both the heaviest and fattest of their classes, however, that doesn't make them the best, quite the opposite actually.
