On a long enough timeline, everyone gets bored with the game. When that happens (not if but when it happens) I find that going away for a while doing other stuff helps. Basically, oodles of people eventually miss playing & come back when they're actually motivated to do so.
If you need other people to convince you to stick around when you don't really have the drive, then imho, you're not fixing the root of the issue.
As for the rest of you spammers: knock it off. ::thread cleaned::

On my on and off time I have been trying to get my Corsair ship back up and running and so far it has been fun for me...maybe I just needed more action, for the most part my RP characters have been avoiding combat...maybe it is about time I joined an official military faction like the RM, I will work on some character ideas. I would say I would go get a gunboat but I don't do much to make money and I want to settle on something before I commit fifty million credits to it

Instead of trying to find something new and interesting, why not give yourself a break from the server and community? Many people have found this effective in rebuilding their passion for the game when they're bored and when they come back they usually make a blast of exciting roleplay.
