Open letter to the FH - knight2 - 01-21-2008 I was never 3k away from you .. since you were constantly catching up with cruise when I got over 1k... but anyway After the crash I respawned in Magellan... and I never went to California as long as you(FH) were there. The SA/LSF were never in fight with me. As far as NY goes I wasn't killed and I didn't flee from there.. so I can go there. Even if I was killed/run from you in California I could go to NY... just could NOT engage you there. Open letter to the FH - 13CentKiller - 01-21-2008 ' Wrote:CruisingSorry for intruding, but I have to put my 13 cents worth in. But this is my perception of the rule in-game. In LH's defense. If the player engaged is an X amount of meters/K's away and/or preparing to flee, the person that has engaged the fleeing player can give chase. If the player is running with his thruster to gain temporary distance, enough for him to effectively engage his cruise engines and avoiding a possible disruption, I'm sure that the player that provoked the attack can use any method possible to chase down the victim. Once a chase has begun, the PvP isn't over until one of them docks, or dies. there are also other possable reasons, but im to tired to think of them right now. (Sorry if that made no sence what so ever, or didn't relate to the problem. ) Cheers  Open letter to the FH - frozen - 01-21-2008 ' Wrote:We didnt use anything above gunboat, we striclty used all Rogue ships ( the one that look like rogue ) actually, that point is null, since i myself have fought quite a few of their bombers/fighters (who ive supernovaed:P:D) sure, they have a bs now, and a couple of destroyers maybe, but remember, most do use fighters (specially corrupted, and his stoopid slipstream. i HATE fighting his slipstream:P) i actualy havent seen any FH in anything smaller than a gunboat/gunship till date, so i dont think you can comment on the LR matey.. Open letter to the FH - LBS - 01-21-2008 Maybe this sounded wrong, but the only reason i wroted that couse he said we used gunboats and Above. We used gunboats and bombers only. Second I dont want to compare my self with others. I prefer and like gunships and that is the type of ships I use. Ok i admit that i have never seen you use anything above Gunboat/Gunship but the point still stands. If you are a not incredibly well funded organization with few pilots you aren't all going to be flying (comparatively) big ships with big guns on them. It just isn't good RP in my opinion. As for the LR using Destroyers and the like, we have a single Battleship (our flagship) and a single Destroyer (my second in command) and two gunboats to date. The rest is comprised of Werewolfs, Barghests and Slip Streams. ~Grav Open letter to the FH - looter - 01-21-2008 Mentioning the KiLLeR guy in the beginning ... I think that in some cases there's some personal revenge behind all this, so I'm laughing like hell... because most people who go for revenge usually don't communicate at all, just come in and shoot. Luckily enough, they usually break a rule or two here and there in their carelessness. We should have Bounty Hunters trying to catch us, that's right. But when a random person tries to kill us with all his characters, shame on that one, folks! See you in space! Well founded? One battleship is how much gunboats? lets use the basic math here... 700~800milions for one battleship, 150~200 milions for one destroyer...while one gunboat is fixed for 40~45 mil....? When it comes to revenge I dont use my all chars. Neither I remember fighting side by side with Killer... I used the FH ship that I have my other chars are pirats and traders... Open letter to the FH - knight2 - 01-21-2008 Well when it comes to revenge what about a certain FH gunboat getting blown by LH in California... only to come to Magellan in his FH BC 10 minutes after.... saying that we cannot attack him because we just killed him in California . And somehow another 15minutes later 2 more [Lane Security] BCs come to Magellan ... without saying a word.... interesting. Open letter to the FH - LBS - 01-21-2008 He swaped chars but he didnt attack you...other then that i dont know...you will need to ask him... and we have nothing to do with Lane_Security...you can ask admin to show you our chars if you think we took other chars to fight you...( well this atleast goes for me...Never saw or talked to any of Lane_Security so far ) Open letter to the FH - Spear - 01-21-2008 I witness caps cruising to catch up with the fight daily. Problem is I am afterburning away usually under fire from a couple of fighter shooting at me and the only proof you can gather about a Cap cruising after you is screen showing the distances on your contact list. It's hardly conclusive evidence to be honest and I wouldnt be happy reporting that or breaking my RP to say "You can't do that!" That said it seems to be a PVP rule ignored by all caps I see. Theres too many grey area's in this for me. Like when I pull a battle away from the Caps. I am still engaging the fighters, wait I have pulled 2 fighters 3k away and still fighting them so now I am fleeing the Cap but actually still fighting the escort. It's too confusing. Either no cruising at all in PVP or allow it for players to catch a battle thats drifted. All this he's 3k away from me and hes fleeing now I can cruise! But I cant do this at 2k! Honestly? Are we just plucking distances out of thin air for this? So I am favour of once you are engaged in PVP (and by that I mean you have fired your first shot) you cannot cruise at all! Once your enemy engages cruise then you can if you choose to chase, until then you cannot cruise. If your enemy is afterburning you chase him in afterburn and for Caps you lumber along in your ship until you catch the battle or not! This would force caps to have escorts to deal with ships that can afterburn away and also involve the escorts showing some tatical savy in keeping the fight closer to their support. A complete ban on Cruising in fights! The first one to cruise is signalling he is withdrawing and you may then cruise to chase him, but if he afterburns away and the pursuer engages his cruise engines to catch up because he pilots a big ship and cant afterburn then that person should have just broken the rules. No grey area's you just cannot cruise to catch up a battle thats drifted from you. At least thats the way I see it, I understand Cap pilots will want to keep there cruise ability so they can pwnzor people that pilot ships that can afterburn! Or in my case try and fail :P |
