If you can deal with outcast, your good. But that carrier is a backyard support vessel. A good long range firing platform while smaller ship keep the capital ship busy.
That been said, dealing with outcast in the tau also include management against typical gank, and that is not a very good status for lawful capital ships. Its just like that.

atm, Zeps are useful only as support ships. Load up with AA or deploy in numbers to counter bigger stuff.

They have worked fine untill now, and will continue to do so. SO WHY CRY ABOUT A USELESS BS WHEN YOU HAVE EPIC SNUB/GB?

that's right- thats the exact same thing with 67.3% of the server.. But hey its also fun to have these big semi-obselete ships.
Cap gank can't be countered by few pytho, if your opponent use 5 dread simultanously... ( i dare you)
They can cry because Outcasts have even more epic snub craft AND cap ship.
But, we also need transport and mining ship too (sun)

sabre VS nyx in TAU, nyx is better.... sabre vs nyx anywhere else, sabre is better... but wait, IMG/CR who use the nyx, IS IN TAU
pytho vs falcata, pytho wins either way, same core almost same armour. Pytho is more agile even though it as less guns (never seen anyone but me and weedalot actually TRY to use the falcatas backwards firing turrets)
Hydra vs Trident, oh well, loldent IS overpowered, but in taus hydra has a better chance. if piloted right

5 dreads? that takes about 6 bombers to wipe the floor with. Assuming atleast 1 or 2 of those dreads use razor/solaris

Thanks for your comment and its good to hear some agree with me and the imbalance may be addressed a little bit. I love the craft but hope the change isn't too great as the shape is attractive...
Yes distance is the key so I suggest reverse thrust be doubled to 36-50 if one is to keep the distance as the larger ships close in on you....that at least gives a fighting chance with strafe....
Yes the gun difference is minor but the hull difference is slightly too low and should be higher (but not too much say 680-700k).
If it is a long distance platform then maybe there should be a different format mix of L9 and L10 guns say 9x L10 guns with upto 9x L9 Guns for carriers. Maybe having auto Flacks guns could be a standard additional defence for missle defence only not for fighter defence (i.e. they act more like diected countermeasures).

only difference, Mako is epic, zephyr sucks...... hmm, both at the lowest end of the BS scale.... but one epic and one not... MAY IT BE cuz Mako pilots KNOW how to fly it and rig it?
