<strike>Darwin</strike> Igiss would have been proud to see this, if he even gets ingame that is. ;)

Not really, its advanced in time is all.

The Nomie war ended in 801 A.S. which is where you are when you finish the campaign and are allowed to free roam around. Its currently 818 A.S.

Things happen, that's just how iggiss made it...

Although I dislike the two paralell wars, Kusari/Bretonia and Liberty/Rhienland

Its annoying and...

just too much.

Yep, the people before have said a lot of smart stuff... Dun even know what to quote, but basically you will adapt to it... After you play like 1-2 months, you will get all of it... I hope.

Yeah... without progress people get fed up with it. And progress always means changes, adjustments, variation and adaptation.

When I first landed here, it was '08 and 816 A.S. respectively, the version was 4.84 (I think:unsure:) and oh, boy, was it a system shock . Then I had to quit for more that two years and am back for little more that a week. It still is a system shock:D, but I really do not mind .
There are things I don't like, things I would change, which is expected. Overal though, this is a special place.

Do not presume to learn everything you need/want to know in a week or even a month - it can't be done. Believe me, I have tried (I was not wearing glasses in '08:wacko:). Give yourself at least 3-4 months (better 6), go slowly, read some stuff from the general discussions and the character stories, go visit some faction channels, take a peak at what the devs are brewing for 4.86, and for heaven's sake do not argue with Tenacity:cool:

You may like it or not, you may even - in time - change a thing or two, leave a mark, but remember - Disco is for the long haul. It is a game - with its main purpose to make you relax and have fun. It takes time to get used to. It is worth it. Patience is a virtue, they say (if i only knew who "they" are), so be virtuous.

Good luck!

I can imagine how confusing it is to see the huge gap between 1.0 and Disco 4.85:P
But once you understood most things its going to be fun ;)
