This has been discussed a lot before, always with a 'no' as final answer. The result of this would be even longer fights, so its better to leave this out. A normal repair ship is bad enough already.

yeah its easier to ask cannon to make a "/feed player x" function that keeps transfering b/b from your ship to his/her ship aslong as you within xxK/M from target.

Although repair ships are invincible to fighters,
at least for a very very long time until it's empty which takes ages.
The repairing with nanobots transfer isn't really what I like.

I'd say an FLhook repair thing would be awesome.
But just with activation, cooldown/recharge time and that kinda stuff.

Edit: Repair guns ain't being used since they happen to kill stuff instead of healing stuff.
They are to buggy to be used properly.

Has nobody mentioned the fundamental, age-old problem with negative damage weapons where if they're used on a ship with full HP the ship will insta-splode?

Maybe this could be fixed by some clever coding, but it has to be raised.

it has been proven and can be done but i do understand it will take alot of time and effort for it to be done

IMO, aren't we having 3-hour fights? Aren't those fights long enought. Should the Repair guns/ships work we will have day-lasting battles and the players will die before the characters do

Sadly, they will.

I do not like the 3 hour fights, even though mine are more like four minutes due to I suck at PvP. I do not need Dodge to grab ten repair ships with those guns and have them shoot them to full heatlh every DAMN TIME the BNG invade.
Or the BHG.
Or if a damn MARDUK stops by.

the /feed player command would be better, and only for repair ships.
