So you're saying that seeing a possible raid party that depends on surprise can be instantly countermanded by someone spying on the chat system rather than actual scouting?
Fair enough if they're all in the same system and that, but it is still widely abused in my eyes. Especially if you're a police officer in-game.
If you recognize smugglers and see them coming in on a popular route 9 times out of 10 you're going to get ready to tag him at the closest point in where they enter the system without breaking RP rules.
EDIT: Hmm, perhaps I'm jumping into the extreme end here, maybe only make enemy ID's not visible in system pane?

Well in server i seen this implemented,you can do a long range scan that shows all in system your in. Then it takes some time to recharge depending on which scanner your using.

I sit my smuggler right infront of police,and military. They do nothing even though it is on 3 most wanted lists. Also what is point of trying to smuggle if 20 police see you in chat,and all camp your drop off point,and screen you,and FR5 you?
Oh well Power game all you like. I am gone till 4.86 anyway.

Chat screen is less meta-gamy and more finding exciting PvP and RP opportunities. Chat screen is a good thing, dont take it away.

By the way, I doubt that even with the recent boost of activity of police factions, you are likely to encounter more that 5 police characters in a whole house.
And if you don't want to get caught, don't smuggle.

Police are not who stop you/shoot you/FR5 you. Its freaking every body who want's to PvP whore. Traders do it. BH's do it. Navy does it. Freelancers do it. All claiming they are inforcing the law. But what ever. I posted a poll. Vote on it,troll it(which is all this comunity usually does), or ignore it. I will no longer read it,just look at poll results.
