Your view is not unanimous. I prefer the traditional BSG viper from the older series. Where, you know, Starbuck was a guy and, you know, cylons/baseships were cool.
It'll probably get replaced by something totally different anyway. No point replacing one import with another when there is a policy to replace all imports with originals.

I agree, make it Neon green and have tassles on the end. The put some yellow flashy lights on the front and several massive spoilers on the back. Can't hurt can it? :nyam::tease:

That policy is only in place when it suits those who control such things. Notice the GMS ships, which are imports. :P

The 'Charon' we have currently is an import, it's the Viper MK II model from TOS (The Original Series) Battlestar Galactica.
I believe all three Viper models (TOS MK II, RDM MK II and RDM MK VII) existed in the mod at some point but the other two were gradually removed or transformed into more bulky designs to fit into our universe. Yes, this model will also be eventually replaced.

It only worked because there is no other GMS ship. Which basically means anything can be added, as long as it looks Freelancer-ish.
In the Charon's case, it won't work, because its infocard says that it is a testbed for the Nyx. Which means it belongs to the same faction. Which means it has to be Black&Red.
