I was there as well, didn't see the rule violation, but I will say there was a lot of rule lawyering going on, on both sides, really takes alot of fun out of a fight. At a certain point, just take your screenies and send them in, the rule lawyering isnt going to get anywhere, and it just ties up system chat for everyone else. When people start to Lawyer, I tell them to report me. If I broke a rule, I'll take the punishment. If I get a sanction I deserve it, but it will be better than listening to people go round and round about rules for a half hour.

I could show you some screenshots I got from Juan if you want Zelot. You'll find them 'enlightening.' No reference to the Phantoms of course, they actually follow rules and RP.

I KNOW THE STINKING CRUISE RULE!!!!! I have read them, in fact I read them every day. What Im
tryin to say is this is very limiting, like telling a Fighter pilots not to use chaff if missles are fired at them
because it bad dog fighting. Further more if you have some one formed on you and you change direction in
quickly they will go to cruise briefly, any one who doubts I will meet and demonstrate. If Im wrong I'll give
you 1 million credits, you must be in gun boat or greater. This would technically disqualify us but it is a
game function. Would it be good RP to deny BOTS and BATS in battle. Another server thought so, thats why
I came here. Lets not limit our abilities, then we limit our fun. I'm asking if we cant talk about updateing the
rules for as much realism as a fictional world can give.

but my comment was more about the anoyance of rule lawyering over system chat.
