Missions are secondary, and thus lower. Why -should- it be a secondary income means? In Vanilla single player, doing missions would give you just as much of a profit than trading would. Quote:Prison Liners don't wait for someone to fill them up like an ore hauler. Police forces don't patrol the streets to arrest everybody to fill up the prisons either.Yeah, well, that really depends on where you live, if you wanna base yourself on RL examples. Plus, I seriously doubt that the actual United States have to handle Liberty Rogues driving Tanks through their country. Unless you consider Hell's Angels as the Rogues' equivalent. Then again, yeah, several countries still do plenty of operations just to arrest criminal groups. I don't see anything wrong with it, either. Missions should be buffed universally in sirius, I once, got a Corsair mission, in Cambridge from Battleship Norfolk, i was like "yus..letsa go" I get all the way to the waypoint, and 2 Osiris NPC's spawn there, the only downside to this is I was using a paladin (fun times were had), I was like O_O Q_Q ![]() ![]() ![]() hell, i didnt even know you COULD get missions like that, specifically missions in cambridge, thats like going to california and getting a OC dread mission... at random. >.> I have never found one before or since this day much to my distress. There should be more difficult missions. like Kusari BS missions from Derby, Bretonia BS missions from Stokes, which would promote more activity on that front, also for Dundee too. bretonia GB/Cruiser missions for Arranmore. Molly GB missions for BMM at graves maybe:P Xeno Cap8 Hegemon missions for Junkers at Rochester, RM BS/Cruiser/GB missions at New Hampshire and Texas, Lib Dread/Cruiser/GB missions in where ever RM stuff is likely to be attacked (since i have no rhienland ships somebody can fill this in) In response to the perishable cargo, I say no, I have a ship that is a makeshift prison, and if all my subjects died it wouldnt be very good, maybe if they died unless you had food water and oxygen on board, then yes that would be cool. NPC pilots as perishable goods / Raise the income given by missions - Pinko - 04-22-2011 And yeah, Jinx. That only works if you have a Battleship or something like that. Soemthing you must have powertraded weeks to get. Otherwise, people should be rewarded for doing missions and using teamwork to complete them, especially if caps are involved. EDIT: Buff Mission NPCs in consequence? NPC pilots as perishable goods / Raise the income given by missions - michiyl - 04-22-2011 ' Wrote:Why -should- it be a secondary income means? Besides the payment for the successfully completed mission, you get all the loot ... or at least as much as you can press into your ship:D Trading is different than in vanilla Freelancer because Igiss and the dev team made a lot of enhancements/changes to the trading routes. And I don't remember any embargoes in vanilla Freelancer which allowed some more profit for blockade runners. Mining is also a bit different now. But it gives WAY MORE credits than if you'd mine vanilla commodities! If it doesn't work out, it can be reversed without ruining anyone's (most people's) Disco way of life. It would be a way to make money without trading or mining, even if it doesn't pay quite as well. Actually that's not true. You can do anti-corsair missions in O-15 in a thresher if you want, though the higher ones allow you to do them faster. The trick is that the NPCs, that spawn in that ugly yellow cloud, can't spot you at a certain distance and hence won't move, so you can easily mortar them to death. Also, I've seen people killing NPC bs' in bombers before (and participated myself), but that requires some teamwork and may take ages. ' Wrote:I think it's worth a shot. I think that's the same we thought when mining was introduced;) |
