On the subject of Coalition in 4.86, who in their right mind designed the new SCRA snubline? I can understand the need to replace the ships, given how hard their hitboxes are to balance, apparently, but the new ones are... not that good looking.
Oh, and in terms of imports, I wonder if the X-Shuttle will get a new model...

The SCRA is getting a new Typhoon the last time I checked, modelled by Luis or Dartstriker. Can't remember which model they picked.

Discovery devteam is not averse to imports - as long as:
a: The party they were from gives us permission to use the to be imported models
b: The models are of good quality.
Since the Homeworld models meet neither of these they're being replaced.
[Edit] And yea, that ship is already getting a replacement afaik. But thanks for keeping those eyes open.

Unless something has changed that I'm not aware of, the Coalition will indeed be getting a new cruiser model.

New ones are very functional combat wise, but don't look as nice.
It's a trade-off that was decided would be worth it. Though, I should mention that the Snub line has been modified and touched up since it was shown to the community. To what extent though, I can't say with certainty.
