Sometimes it happened to me that my cable-modem cause lag spikes for unknown reasons.
A simple reset solve the issue. Perhaps this can help you.

Thank you all for feeback. I have reset the medem, twice i believe, and i have observed that I have a single chance to play FL with virtually no lag, etc. -_- I might have already said that. Meanwhile, please post any additional ideas that could be helpful.
