I belive that it was some topic about that:P
anyway - I use my own rented server.
advantages:
- own website
- e-mail account
- large storage space
disadvantages:
- price

Same here.
My ISP provides a nicely sized chunk of 'web space' for you to set up your own web site and upload stuff to when you sign up.
If I can't hotlink a picture from the original site, I'll 'copy' the picture, then upload it to my web space.
