Have you been talking to [*USI*] about how your faction is going to work in relation to them?
If there's no real difference between the two factions, then it may turn out to be a less-successful clone.

You have an official faction next to you who does the exact same thing. If it was a pirate or independant faction I could understand a motive, but a trading faction ?
It's up to you, but personally I think it's your loss, USI has 2 years of experience and two years on discovery can't be neglected.
