LPI Patriots vs. Pirate LFs - mjolnir - 02-13-2008

well please add the mines and armor restrictions in the first post:

MK II armor is ok for me

I would stop mines at Cutter. All mines above take the lvl 4 shield in one hit.

OK, down to business. This is a battle between the LPI Patriot squadron and any pirates that deem to come. The following are accepted:

Rogue Bloodhounds
Lane Hacker Daggers
LH~ Daggers (discuss the difference in a bit)
Xeno Hawks
Outcast (Pirate ID) Daggers

Bounty Hunter Piranhas are also accepted to fight for the LPI, and if the SA wants to enter a Defender or two they're more than welcome.

Equipment Restrictions

A maximum of the Mk II armor upgrade for LPI patriots and Rogue Bloodhounds (as Hawks and Daggers outclass both of these ships, this is a bit of compensation)

Any mines up to Cutter.

Please oh please keep it in RP!

Naming Conventions

This is an event, so we want official names. They should be set up like this for the non-faction players:

Firstname.Lastname[Rogues]
Firstname.Lastname[Hackers]
Firstname.Lastname[Xenos]
Firstname.Lastname[Outcasts]
Firstname.Lastname[BHG] (if they are allowed)

The LPI have their tags of LPI-Firstname.Lastname, and the official LH faction have their tags as well.

Location

This it to be determined, however it will not be in New York. More than likely this is going to occur in California, but Colorado and Texas are options as well.

How to apply

For the LPI side, you must be in the LPI faction. To join the pirates, I ask that you post here the name of your character and the affiliation. Please, I also ask that you set up a uniform loadout amongst your light fighters.

**More than likely will change, please post ideas to make it better, as well as ideas on the location.

Sounds good, do we have a time/day yet? Either way I'll need to go set up another Patriot, since mine recently got upgraded to a Liberator.

LPI Patriots vs. Pirate LFs - Zapp - 02-13-2008

OK folks, lemme say this once to all LPI... keep your Patriot, start a new char for the Liberator. And the time is.... here somewhere... here.

EDIT: sorry forgot about Hawk.. this relates to Dagger vs Patriot

I don't think they "outclass them"

Patriot is a much smaller target than a Dagger (about half the size) it's also much more agile (1.6 vs 1.33).
Armor rating on is 1300 on Patriot and 1800 or Dagger.

I would say that Patriot is a light LF while Dagger is more a heavy LF. Anyway.. don't think armor should be restricted like this. Maybe just one armor level difference.
MKI is 1.2 I think
MKII 1.4 ?

LPI Patriots vs. Pirate LFs - chopper - 02-13-2008

Well, Mjonlir i think they are.
It's like attacking a Sabre with a Falcon and saying that Falcon is smaller and more agile.
That can't change the fact that it has less firepower, less hull, and 3 classes lower weapons.

Vengeance class 6 - 52/26 damage
Justice class 3 - 24/12 damage

That means more then double damage.
Now, i'm ok with Daggers using class 4's, that is totally cool and fair.
But, Hawks and their class 6 weapons aren't really that fair.
It's not the same ship class at all.
Civilian equivalent for Patriot and Dagger is a Startracker.
So, if we are allowing Hawks to fight, they should be a bit limited.
At least that's what i think.
After all, it's all about fun, so it's not all that important.
Just wouldn't like to see people rushing in that battle taking all advantages only to win.
Balance is needed:yes:

So, yes, my answer would be to allow Daggers to have the same armor upgrade as Patriots.
But, Hawks shouldn't have any, and should be limited to class 4 guns, and same shields as us.

LPI Patriots vs. Pirate LFs - LH~Highwayman - 02-13-2008

Give the Xenos Starblazers or Startrackers..

LPI Patriots vs. Pirate LFs - mjolnir - 02-13-2008

huh... I admit that I didn't really notice that you meant those hawks...

They are simply a class above... they should not be allowed at all...

allow startrackers that is the same ship class.

Also you agree that

Bloodhounds/Daggers/Patriots are on the same level right?

Because I do believe they are.

EDIT: Not Starblazers.. they have Claas 6 guns and 3100 armor

LPI Patriots vs. Pirate LFs - chopper - 02-13-2008

Yes, i do agree Daggers are the same class as Patriots, so they should be allowed.
But not Hawks.

Good thing you mentioned Starblazer, it's an equivalent to Hawk.
Class 6 weapons and 3300 armor.
Now, imagine us using those. A big no.
So, if we are already letting them to get into event, they should be limited.
That's all.
I would also rather see Startrackers flying, but i don't think that's gonna happen.

LPI Patriots vs. Pirate LFs - onca - 02-13-2008

I'll be there is a bloodhound, just as soon as I sort out a rep, mah-ha! (and a name)

Somebody[Rogues]

LPI Patriots vs. Pirate LFs - LancerZero - 02-13-2008

Eeewww, Startrackers? Those are AWFUL. A Titan can out-turn a Startracker, no kidding. I'd rather fly a Starflea with a Mk5 armor upgrade or something. Or a Starblazer with gimped shields (class 4) and no weapons above class 4. Or maybe a class 3 shield to make up for the extra armor. Or better armor for the other ships just so that everyone can fly something decent.
