I think you may need an explanation, Patriot.
There is, nowhere in those posts, or any of the rules, anything that forbids the idea of an official faction.
The only thing they are referring to are factions that want to be added to the faction status post, as official factions, who can own systems. Whats more, there is nothing wrong with the groups on the server, they have always been here, and we have no problem with independents, which is essentially, under the rules, what members of these groups boil down to. You are perpetrating a witchhunt against people who have, by you're explanation, done nothing wrong.

I dont see anyone else here who thinks the same way like you do. Every faction should get a chance, wether you like the faction or not. Allso, how do you think the official factions came to exist? They were unofficial once! We all have to start small.

We are in the midst of creating an official faction, but we want to do our homework on this first so that there will be no need of questions when its sent off to the Admins for approval. As for oorp chat, we try to keep that to a bare minimum at all times in system chat, and since I (LS003 & LS Bravo) just got on TeamSpeak yesterday this OOC chat should now be non-existant, even in PM chat.
Rest assured, we are working very hard to put Lane Security on the map and to be sure, we are here to stay.
I look foward to making this work and if you have any suggestions or ideas for us at all...PLEASE PM me and let me know, I'd love to hear from anyone with an idea to make Lane Security a better thing. (this includes all pirates too!! I know you'd love some head to head battles with us!!)
Until then Discovery Veterans...keep the trains moving, the patrols sharp, the pirates active, and the Liberty Ale coming!

But please gimme few days! and i'll do my best..Since you seem to be doing more work than your leader (whom i've never even seen, let alone know who he is), perhaps you should take over position as leader until such a time as your leader returns? And if he doesn't, then there are no issues. But someone ought to take charge and not simply passing the buck and saying "oh, well, the leader ain't around so i can't do anything".
Of course we appreciate the fact you are trying, but perhaps you ought to take charge of the Hunters until your boss gets back?
As for unofficial factions, the Golden Chrysanthemums were an unofficial faction until today (we just got approved, so i'll be sorting that out), so I think it is unwarranted to be telling all unofficial factions to get lost. Although to be fair, it would be nice if they actually posted something to discuss what they're all about, so people don't get confused.
