1v1 it doesn't matter, yes. At least not much.
Unless you are fighting a bomber and your trying to stay on his tail (killing his e-kill with CD-es).
Raven Talon could probably beat every one of those 1v1, because of the hitbox (it's more important then agility, when fighting 1v1).
However, 1v1 is not a very good example.
2v2, 3v3, 4v4.. In each of this fights Titan is simply doomed.
Raven Talon pretty much as well.
Sabre is excellent in these fights, and not to speak about the Blood Dragon.
BD is at least 50% better then the Sabre in group fights, and Sabre is very good.
You can imagine what would happen 4v4, Blood Dragons vs Titans, with evenly matched pilots.
It would be a massacre, I grant you that.
Titan is not so good, but I don't think it needs to be boosted, not much at least.
This way it is a very interesting ship to fly. At least to me:)

mentioned in another thread - now.. imagine armor being RP only.... and think again.
a titan with fighter lvl8 armor vs. dragons with.... well, what armors do outcasts have? - 2? - then take into account that people use their RP shields only and RP weapons only.
it might look much more balanced all of the sudden. - a dragon with something like 10.000 armor modified against a titan with 27.000 armor. a dragon with inferno to rip the shields though.

I'm okay with Dragons using Inferno.
I'm not okay with Dragons using Krakens though.
Anyway, yes, it might help. I like the idea.

That would balance it yes... But that's far from the reality...
I fly a titan, and i like it, i don't use it for battles, but i like the way it is corsair through and through...
It turns resonably well, has enough, power and everything, if RP would be enforced to the letter perhaps many things would balance in it's favour...

I think the corsairs need something desent to replace the Titan. All you modders out there should stop worrying about the corsair caps and make a desent fighter for them.

It just loses wings too easily. One cannonball (hell, one Catapult) and *bam* wing gone, and with it two weapons. Then the other, and your down to trying to fight with two guns. Hull strength doesn't mean jack s**t when you've nothing to fight back with.
Sabre doesn't lose wings nearly so easily. And it actually has four wings, so when you do lose one, you only lose one gun.
Go to Sigma-13 and do some missions for the GMG if you wanna know what I'm talking about. You can take on Titans in a Drake for goodness sake. Target one wing, then the other, etc. until you whittle it down to a flaming wreck. It takes a loooooong time, but you just laugh at Titans. Sabres on the other hand, are a lot harder. You can target the wings, however most of the time your gunfire just passes harmlessly thru the "hole" between wing & ship hull.
The non-vanilla ships are a no-brainer. Titan is just too vulnerable for its own good.

Well... I was always getting the impression that Titan is made for pirating...and that's what it's good for... powerplant make a difference when firing endless stream of projectiles on a trader.
Armor makes a difference as well... same in 1on1.
So in group fights Corsairs should use Centurions... I know only of one flying that one....
In a mixed bomber/fighter group it's better with centurion as well.
Btw... Templar is the least agile VHF.
