So you have a char. Your char looks like the way you imagined it...like an actor, pornstar, someone anime...use your imagination and imagine that person. Who cares about Trant omg? Also who cares about the bar, equipment, commodity and ship dealer locations anyway? They are old, boring and not so well modeled...:DReally, make new icons instead...people are only looking at the top GUI icons anyway.
Or. Search for a tutorial. Learn. Replace or delete Trent by yourself. Easy. Profit.

It is actually quite possible to allow you to pick a character model at the char creation screen. It was already done by (big surprise) Freeworlds for their future release. Maybe other mods will get a crack at it when the newest Freeworlds version is released.

I have to go with the masses on this one. Just let it be. My wife plays this game too and she dont care if her char is trent or a pic of her self. 95% of the time your in space any way. If you want a custom person play one of the SIM games. And if your still not happy with it get a pic of your char and put a sticky note up where trent is and turn down the vol. :) Whats next pimpmychar lights for ya? mabey a trucker hat for him?

I would support this. Though, what are we selecting at mod activation screen? I remember there were options for different char.

Actually it was introduced the the Evolutions Mods - technically or something.
It's a client side thing and do not affect gameplay at all - like all the nice graphic enhancement mods which me and others use to actually enhance gameplay.

Well as long as something is not giving you advantage over other players, you can modify anything ingame. I just changed some gun sound fx or retextured some ships in other mods, so you can change Trent too. Hmm I am actually thinking bout it, since I have only 1 char atm :-D to replace him with some lad:D
