Mostly just stuff i cant type out in a fight - sometimes cheeky messages i would be saying in a fight, but too long to type out.

I follow the old fps rule when it comes to typing messages - if you get type-killed, its your own damn fault, heh

for some reason I have #t set on /2 for every character of mine.
Don't really use it a lot.

I thought that using Macros was considered cheating.

Its a system built into the server so you can set pre-recorded messages. Then say them in an emergency or situation where you don't have the time to type them out (I.e. being attacked by a pirate if you pre-recorded: 'Mayday mayday I'm under attack and need assistance at #c')

@OP
I usually just record a mayday message and something telling someone to stop,
Or a surrendering message just in case :laugh:

Since when /setmessages are called Macros?

Or.... why do you people use Macros when you have /setmessage?

Macro:
mac·ro/ˈmakrō/Noun: A single instruction that expands automatically into a set of instructions.

On topic, my first is nearly always a 'greeting' and I always have an engagement and a fleeing notice somewhere. The others vary between characters, if I have them at all.:)

I believe he meant /sentmessage but failed and called them macros,
but thats beside the point.

From the context I think it displays coordinates? Might have to check ingame though.
