Me: After I started using the latest releases of DSAce something wrong is happening. When I am in-game and alt tab to the desktop there is a possibility that the game won't allow me to go to the desktop but keep me in the freelancer (I hear the game sounds) and the screen not responding (full black). I can still press on thruster, etc, but I don't see anything.
Does that have to do with DSAce or the problem is somewhere else? As I said, it started after using the new DSAce series

I don't have yet discovered a bug. But how do I change it to widescreen. I havea 16/10 desktop and it's quite anoying to play with 1280x720. I know it's something with -dx. But where and how?
Edit: Nevermind. Got it working.
Also , i have the same problem with going into windowed mod and going to normal windows. Just black screen and the only solution's to shut down Freelancer.

Alt+tab doesnt work well. I get black screen but no annoying sound. Everything else is fine now.

Edit: I had more lag at first (more lag ping and fluct then usual) But now it's better then before

Maybe not related to switching to the black desktop but this is (also) a known bug in AMD aka ATI displaydrivers!
ATI bug has to do with bugged interpolating resolution(if you use nondefault desktop resolution like 800x 600 on a 1920x 1080 TFT) for common flatscreen (TFT), its sometimes resulting in displaydriver suddenly use illegal refreshrate when you switch thus making TFT say "nada, i cant work that way, i go black now".

I just started FL with the new DSAce and, as usual, Alt-Tabbed right back to the forum (while FL started up, showing the Reunion banner). Then, suddenly, it maximized itself again and showed a black screen, without the possibility to Alt-Tab out again.

Yeah, I confirm the Alt-Tab problem.
Screen goes black, but sound remains, yet unable to switch to other programs or desktop.
We might need to wait a few hours though, Cannon is probably sleeping.
Oh, also, font size is good... except the actual chat messages still seem to be a tad large.
Or maybe they're the right size, I can't remember.

Yea, I'm more worried about mistakenly pushing my windows key whilst fighting and then getting sanctioned for F1ing out of a fight.
