Some parts of RP/GP are extreemly fustrating for no reason that makes sense to me. Nevertheless they are usualy defined as officialy intended in an dogmatic way.
Reasonable argumentation to change such details somehow always seem to run into a thick wall.

I wouldn't be playing if it was no fun though I took a long break when mining was changed, but I'm back now.
As long as there are at least some nice encounters and it all balances out there is fun around. For example today I had some nicer encounters but also some more annoying stuff happening.
Sometimes players like being an ooRP-hating arse - excuse me - but overall there are still players around who prefer having fun and allowing the other one to have fun as well.
So, is the fun here? Most times. Not always, but most times.
I might be complaining a lot, but hey, that's because I still care...

This is the kind of question you can only answer for yourself. If you have fun, you have fun. If you don't have fun, you don't have fun. That's just about it.

Oh yeah, and if you want something to be better, then be the change you want to be. If you want people to Roleplay more pirates, Roleplay more with pirates. If you want people to be better miners, Roleplay more with miners. If you think someone is being an OoRP jerk, don't play his game; be a better Roleplayer. At the end of the day, you'll be much more comfortable with yourself at night and the next guy might have just learned something. Everyone is happier and everyone has fun if you just play without bias and blame yourself instead of others. But that seems too hard for a lot of folk, so start with yourself and try to work out from there. I guarantee that no matter who you are, you'll have more fun if you find the courage to be the better person and blame yourself for any fun you don't have.
