Dynamic Asteroid Fields in Discovery Mod - Lennox - 10-12-2011 ' Wrote:Yes i played on 88flak sever and i did not feel any lag or problem you mentioned , even in Asteroid fields.:) Well, that's because of the low player activity there. Imagine the computational effort the server would need to create such effects for all players. You wouldn't be able to do anything any longer. Just get the fact it is overwhelming the server capacity. Dynamic Asteroid Fields in Discovery Mod - Narcotic - 10-12-2011 Sorry, but I don't like this idea. Having some nice looking asteroids flying around isn't any lag worth in my opinion. There is already enough server instability, sometimes, for me at least. But i dont think so the many pew pew takes place in asteroid fields with many players and it only lags if lags ,if you always in range of asteroids. But i dont think this also happens often. So dont worry about lags guys:) Dynamic Asteroid Fields in Discovery Mod - Stefz - 10-14-2011 Voted for no. Simply because It's.. I don't know, the facts have already been stated. It would also be -really- unrealistic. Ships should go poof when they ram asteroids, not to play football in asteroid fields. |
