Snd why skype? Cause for now its the best / easiest way to gather massive number of ppl on various channels (every faction has couple of them)

Sooo yeah, basically thats the thing we use it, though its laggy.

There are many people here who can't speak much english either and yet they can provide very nice RP interractions, even write nice character stories, so I wouldnt be that much worried about writing an application for the official faction...

Indies are fine, just don't overstep your boundaries or the faction leaders may FR5 you.

I personally have no characters in any official faction. Timezone problems causes me to be be of little use to them.
